About Me

I am a Class of ’07 graduate from one of the best homeschools on the planet.  Of course, that’s hard to prove, but I know it, and my mother knows it, and that’s what matters!  I’m also a Class of ’11 graduate from Empire State College’s Center for Distance Learning, with a degree in Human Services.  My interests include reading, piano, guitar, crochet, sketching, photography, writing, acting, and now blogging.

On this blog I share some of my memories and thoughts on homeschooling in an effort to encourage all those still homeschooling, both students and parents, to keep up the good (homeschool)work.  Some of the stories I tell will not reference homeschooling, but take it from me, homeschooling provides the background for everything I’ve ever done.  I also share links to other blogs, often written by homeschoolers/homeschool grads, which I have found encouraging.  Some of my posts have been my reflections on things I’m learning.  The biggest thing I’m learning is that I am a mirror.  On occasion, I also share poetry that I have written, some while I was a student, and some more recently.

For more about me, check out My Testimony, My Favorite Books, and My Favorite Curriculum, read the archives, or browse through the category list.  You’ll find an introduction to my family here which may help when I reference a sibling with no explanation of who they are.  Make yourself at home!

Hi this is Timothy from Genius Inc and I was wondering If I knew you. I recognize your blog name but I can’t place it. BTW, thanks for “re-posting” my comments post.

    • Hi Timothy!

Well, it is quite possible that you have “seen” me around blogs we both frequent, but if you mean, have we met in person, that would be a not yet. As to why you might recognize my blog name, well, it’s not like it’s terribly original!

I’m only doing so-so on my 30 posts. I kept up with it for the first week, but I’m going to have to post double for the rest of the month in order to hit 30! Still, I think I’m commenting more often thanks to the challenge, and I hope that continues in the coming months.

      Thanks for stopping by!

I’m creating a blogroll of blogs that blog (at least occasionally) about homeschooling high school. (http://letshomeschoolhighschool.com/homeschool-high-school-blogs/) I came across yours today and would LOVE to add it. If you would consider this, could you email me? katie@letshomeschoolhighschool.com. Thanks in advance! Blessings…

I like comments as much as the next blogger, so leave me some feedback!
