Rain on the Windows

Rain on the windows
it’s pattering now,
The force of the wind
has quieted down
Thousands of droplets
freckle the view
Blurring my sight
as I look through

Rain on the windows
the lightning is past
Water like teardrops
remains on the grass
Through emptied clouds
the sun reappears
Shining on the wetness
with a smile so dear

Rain on my windows
refreshing and clean
Making my pastures
joyful and green
